Purpose, Prayer & Peace
The 3 P’s
Theme Scripture
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
Isaiah 26:3 NIV
As women of God, we all walk through different seasons.
Some seasons feel full of joy and clarity. Others feel heavy, uncertain, and exhausting.
There are moments when we question our direction, wrestle with fear, carry emotional burdens, or feel spiritually drained. Yet even in those moments, God lovingly reminds us that we were never created to walk through life disconnected from Him.
This month’s BibleShare is centered around three powerful spiritual foundations every woman needs in her walk with Christ:
Peace. Purpose. Prayer.
The 3 P’s.
When we seek God wholeheartedly, He gives us peace for our minds, purpose for our lives, and prayer as our direct connection to Him.
Purpose
Purpose is more than a career, a title, or a position. Purpose is the reason God created you.
As women, we sometimes spend years trying to discover who we are through relationships, achievements, motherhood, careers, or the opinions of others. But true purpose can only be found in the One who created us. God did not create us accidentally. He created us intentionally.
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV says:
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
Even in seasons where life feels confusing, delayed, painful, or uncertain, God still has a plan for our lives. Nothing we have experienced is wasted in His hands. Every trial, every lesson, every closed door, every prayer, and every season has purpose.
Romans 8:28 NIV reminds us:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Purpose is not about perfection. Purpose is about obedience.
Sometimes purpose looks like serving quietly.
Sometimes purpose looks like healing.
Sometimes purpose looks like praying for your family, encouraging others, leading with faith, or simply trusting God one day at a time.
Ephesians 2:10 NIV says:
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Before we were born, God already knew our assignment. He already placed gifts, wisdom, compassion, strength, and calling inside of us.
The enemy often tries to distract women with comparison, insecurity, fear, disappointment, or feelings of inadequacy because he knows that a woman walking in God’s purpose is powerful. But we do not have to chase purpose.
We simply have to seek God. When we walk closely with Him, He directs our steps, reveals our calling, and gives us the courage to walk in it.
Proverbs 3:5–6 NIV says:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
As daughters of God, our purpose is ultimately to glorify Him in the way we live, love, serve, lead, forgive, grow, and walk by faith.
Your life has purpose.
Your voice has purpose.
Your prayers have purpose.
Your story has purpose.
And God is still writing your story.
Prayer
Prayer is not just something we do. Prayer is how we stay connected to God.
It is our lifeline, our strength, our covering, and our communication with the Father. Through prayer, we find comfort, wisdom, direction, healing, peace, and spiritual strength for every season of life.
As women, there are moments when we feel overwhelmed by responsibilities, emotions, disappointments, fears, or uncertainty. But prayer reminds us that we never have to carry life alone. God invites us to bring everything to Him.
Philippians 4:6 NIV says:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Prayer shifts our focus from our problems to God’s power. It reminds us that God is still in control, even when life feels uncertain. Prayer is not about having perfect words.
It is about having an open heart before God. Some prayers are spoken with confidence. Some are whispered through tears. Some are prayed in silence when words are hard to find. Yet God hears every one of them.
Jeremiah 33:3 NIV says:
“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
Prayer strengthens our faith because it keeps us connected to the One who holds all wisdom, power, and peace. Jesus Himself modeled the importance of prayer throughout His ministry. He often withdrew from crowds and distractions to spend time with the Father.
If Jesus prioritized prayer, how much more should we? Prayer changes us.
It softens hardened places in our hearts.
It gives us clarity when we feel confused.
It gives us peace when anxiety tries to take over.
It gives us strength when we feel weak.
1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 NIV says:
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Prayer is not meant to be reserved only for difficult moments. Prayer should become part of our daily walk with Christ.
In the quiet moments. In the busy moments. In the painful moments. In the joyful moments.
God desires relationship with us. As daughters of God, we must remember that prayer is powerful. Heaven responds when God’s people pray.
Your prayers over your life matter. Your prayers over your family matter. Your prayers over your future matter. Never underestimate what God can do through a praying woman.
James 5:16 NIV says:
“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
Even when you cannot see immediate results, keep praying. Even when answers seem delayed, keep trusting. Even when you feel weary, keep seeking God.
Prayer keeps us grounded, strengthens our faith, and reminds us that we are never walking alone.
God is listening. God is moving. And God is faithful.
Peace
Peace is one of the greatest gifts God gives His children.
Not temporary peace based on circumstances, but a deep, steady peace that comes from trusting Him completely.
In a world filled with chaos, pressure, fear, disappointment, and uncertainty, many women are silently carrying emotional exhaustion. We pour into others while neglecting our own hearts. We worry about our families, finances, health, future, responsibilities, and unanswered prayers.
Yet God never intended for us to live overwhelmed by anxiety. He calls us to rest in Him.
Isaiah 26:3 NIV says:
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
Perfect peace comes from keeping our minds focused on God instead of becoming consumed by everything happening around us.
Peace does not mean life is always easy.
Peace means we trust that God is still sovereign, still faithful, and still working even when we do not understand the season we are in.
Jesus said in John 14:27 NIV:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
The peace Christ gives is different from anything the world offers.
The world says peace comes from control, success, money, relationships, or perfect circumstances. But true peace can only come from the presence of God.
When we spend time with Him in prayer, worship, and His Word, our hearts become anchored in Him.
Peace guards our hearts when fear tries to enter.
Peace steadies us when emotions become overwhelming.
Peace reminds us that God is near even in difficult seasons.
Colossians 3:15 NIV says:
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts…”
Notice the scripture says let peace rule.
That means we must intentionally choose to surrender worry, fear, bitterness, stress, and anxious thoughts to God daily. Sometimes protecting our peace also means protecting our hearts.
It may require setting boundaries, walking away from unhealthy environments, releasing unforgiveness, or trusting God enough to stop carrying burdens He never asked us to hold.
As daughters of God, we must remember that peace is not weakness. Peace is spiritual maturity. It is the confidence that God is in control even when life feels uncertain.
No matter what season you are walking through today, God desires for your heart to rest in Him.
His peace is available to you. His presence is with you. And His promises still stand. When we trust God fully, peace follows.
