It’s Never Too Early to Introduce Your Son to God’s Son

There are moments when God speaks something so clearly to your spirit… you know it’s not just a thought, it’s a message.

Recently, God really emphasized this message to me:

“It is never too early for a mother to introduce her son to My Son.”

And I sat with that and meditated on it. It was such a profound message, and it resonated with me so much! I knew God wanted this message to go out to moms everywhere!!

Because, as mothers, especially in the early seasons, we sometimes think:

“They’re too young…”
“They don’t understand yet…”
“I’ll teach them more when they get older…”

But God reminded me of something very important.

The Planting Season Matters Greatly

The early years are not just about feeding, clothing, and physically caring for our sons.

They are the planting season. This is where seeds of faith are planted.

Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Training doesn’t begin later. It begins now.

In the small moments… In the daily routines…In the way we speak about God…
In the way we live our faith in front of our sons.

Introduce Them Early

Introducing your son to God’s Son doesn’t require perfection. It doesn’t require a perfect plan. It simply requires intentionality.

It looks like:

  • Praying over him while he sleeps
  • Speaking God’s name in your home
  • Playing worship music in the background
  • Teaching him who Jesus is in simple ways

Because even when they don’t fully understand… Their spirit is receiving.

Jesus Welcomes Children

Sometimes we think children need to reach a certain age before they can “really know” God.

But Jesus made it clear:

Matthew 19:14 (NIV)
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Jesus didn’t say “wait.” He said let them come.

What You Plant Will Grow

There may be seasons where it feels like your son isn’t listening… not paying attention to your words… Where you wonder if what you’re teaching is taking root…

But God’s Word reminds us:

Isaiah 55:11 (NIV)
“So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and acheive the purpose for which I sent it.”

Every prayer… Every scripture…Every affirmation you speak over your son, every moment you introduce your son to Jesus… It is planting seeds of faith… And in time… They WILL grow.

You Were Chosen for This

Remember, God didn’t just choose your son… He chose you to be his mother.

Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV)
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.… before you were born, I set you apart…” that includes your son. And it includes your role in his life.

You were chosen to guide him, cover him, and yes… Introduce him to God’s Son.

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with grateful hearts, thanking You for the precious gift of our sons.

Lord, we recognize that our sons are not just ours… they are Yours first. And we thank You for entrusting them into our care.

Father, help us to understand that it is never too early to introduce our sons to You.

Give us the wisdom, Lord, to begin planting seeds of faith in their lives from the very beginning.

Help us to speak Your name in our homes, to pray over them daily, and to live a life before them that reflects Your love.

Lord, as Your Word says in Proverbs 22:6, help us to train up our sons in the way they should go, so that as they grow, they will not depart from it.

Jesus, we thank You that You welcome children and love them. As it says in Matthew 19:14, You said, ‘Let the little children come to Me.”

So Father, we bring our sons to You, even now, even at a young age.

Let their hearts be open to You. Let their spirits be drawn to You. And let Your presence rest upon them.

Lord, we pray that every word of truth we speak, every prayer we pray, and every moment we introduce them to You will take root and grow in their spirits.

As it is written in Isaiah 55:11, Your Word will not return void, it will accomplish what You have purposed.

Father, remind us that You chose us to be their mothers.

Jeremiah 1:5 reminds us that You knew our sons before they were formed… and You knew that we would be their mothers.

So help us to walk in that calling with faith, obedience, and confidence. Lord, cover our sons, guide them, and lead them into a relationship with You from an early age.

And may the seeds we plant today grow into lives that honor You tomorrow.

In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.

Let’s Talk Mom to Mom

Mom to mom

If you’ve ever felt like it’s too early… If you’ve ever questioned if your son is ready… Let me remind you:

It’s not about his age. It’s about your obedience. Start now. Speak His name now. Pray over him now. Introduce him to Jesus now.

Because it is never too early… to introduce your son to God’s Son.
