Topic: Look at Yourself Through the Eyes of God
Scripture: Ephesians 1:3-4 (Read 3-14)
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight.”
The Heart of the Week
If you could see yourself the way God sees you, so much would shift. The pressure. The doubt. The guilt. The feeling that you’re not doing enough.
Ephesians 1:3-4 lifts your head and reminds you of the truth:
God chose you.
God blessed you.
God sees you as His.
You are not barely getting by in His eyes. You are deeply loved and intentionally created.
What This Means for Moms
Motherhood can distort the way you see yourself. You notice the mess, the mistakes, the moments you wish you had handled better. But God looks at you with love, not criticism.
When God looks at you, He sees:
• purpose
• strength
• potential
• His creation
• His daughter
• someone He prepared and equipped
Seeing yourself through His eyes brings peace.
It lifts shame.
It replaces insecurity with identity.
You cannot parent well if you treat yourself like you are unworthy.
What This Means for Your Sons
Your son watches how you see yourself. When you walk in confidence that comes from God, he learns confidence that is not built on performance.
When you see yourself through God’s eyes:
• you speak with more kindness
• you lead with more grace
• you set healthier boundaries
• you teach him that worth is God-given, not earned
A mom who knows who she is raises a son who stands strong in who he is.

- How do you usually see yourself: through pressure or through purpose?
- What part of Ephesians 1:3-4 do you need to hold onto this week?
- What would change in your home if you viewed yourself the way God does?
- How can you help your son see himself through God’s eyes?
Simple Prayer
“God, reshape the way I see myself. Help me look at my life and my motherhood through Your eyes, not my fears. Remind me that I am chosen, loved, and equipped. Teach my son to walk in that same truth.”
Make sure you have your pen and journal so you can answer the reflection questions and jot down your thoughts and prayers.
